![]() Ralph's Italian Deli
(Highlighted in the Chicago Tribune Travel Section!) Eat in - Deli to go - Catering Rt 41 in Ishpeming 906-485-4557 http://www.ralphsitaliandeli.com Sun-Thurs 9am - 9pm Fri-Sat 9am-10pm Hardwood Steakhouse OMG.....go to L'Anse for great eats...worth the trip..........YUM!![]() It's called "Skippers" and it's on the waterfront in L'Anse. Oh my goodness....try the French Dip with Swiss Cheese and caramelized onions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. With fries and a toasted bun (to die for), or how about Steak or Prime rib on alternating Saturdays, (a bargain at $17 and $18 respectively.....and that's for everything....the full meal). Then again, the fish is nothing to take for granted....and when all else fails, try Italian.....they have a great lasagna. To all of this add a craft root beer or.... how about a regular craft beer. Yes, they have it all at Skippers. Just ask Sylvia, our waitress, guide, and officianado. By way of New Hampshire and Cape Coral Florida, and Miami......now a resident of L'Anse (thank heavens) She brought this great eating place to the UP, and it's not to be missed. Take the kids. The park is just across the street. The Marina is also right there. but keep your eye peeled for Skippers. It's not just food......it's an experience! Can't wait to take another ride to L'Anse just to try something new. Closed on Sundays and Mondays, The menu is so varied and really reasonable. One of our visitors said it's on par with a downtown Chicago restaurant. How right she was, but much cheaper and better. Why go to Chicago when you can motor on over to L'Anse. It's on the waterfront and it's called Skipper's. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!!!!

Great for fish fries - Trout & Whitefish Specialities (906) 272-2675 Rt 41 in Nestoria, MI Open Tuesday - Sunday Noon-9pm ![]() The Lumberjack Tavern in Big Bay
'The Anatomy of a Murder' was based on the true story of a murder in Big Bay. In 1952, the original owner was murdered at the bar by a man claiming that the owner had raped his wife. The movie based on this case was filmed around the U.P. but also at the tavern. This restaurant has good, fresh food but you can also enjoy the many articles posted around the tavern about the making of the movie.
